Chronic pain conditions, such as low back pain, knee pain, sciatica, neck pain and many other conditions that we attribute to aging, can be caused by muscular imbalances in the body. With Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT), sufferers have the opportunity to understand and correct the cause of these debilitating conditions. This workshop has two parts. The first will examine common misalignments and explain the principles of IPT and muscular balance. During the second part students will have the opportunity to experience a yoga practice that addresses these imbalances, bringing the body back into alignment, reducing and, with practice, eliminating debilitating pain.

 

Students can attend one or all of the workshops as we will focus on different areas of the body during each. In October we will focus on neck, and shoulders. In November we will focus on spine mobility and upper back, and in December we will focus on hips and low back. All of the sessions will focus on the principles of IPT and our everyday habits that cause imbalances and cause pain.
